This unique tour combines the awe-inspiring Panama Canal, lush rainforests, and rich cultural sites for an unforgettable experience.

Sloth Sanctuary and Gamboa Rainforest Reserve

Embark on a luxurious journey retracing the steps of Spanish conquistadors and gold prospectors aboard an air-conditioned motor bus. Witness the engineering marvel of the Panama Canal, and explore Panama's natural beauty, historic sites, and cultural riches starting from the vibrant port of Panama City.

Our first destination is Gamboa Rainforest Reserve's Sloth Sanctuary, where Panama's adored slowpokes reign. This sanctuary is a haven dedicated to the care and conservation of these charming creatures - you'll get up close and personal, learn about their different species, and understand their survival challenges in the wild. The sanctuary feeds your curiosity and allows you to immerse yourself in the rainforest ecosystem as you participate in feeding sessions and observe sloths in their natural abode.

The journey continues through lush tropical rainforests and past the operational cornerstone of the canal, Pedro Miguel's locks. A sneak peek into Balboa townsite unveils remnants of the former Canal Zone's strategic significance and compelling history.

Coming up next is a visit to the bustling Corozal Arts and Crafts Center where you can savor and support the local culture. Here, Panamanian artisans pride themselves on their traditional crafts and artwork, including exquisite jewelry, intricate pottery, vibrant textiles, and captivating paintings.

We wrap up this enriching journey in the heart of Colonial Panama, Casco Antiguo. This UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to the late 17th century, offering a tantalizing blend of Spanish, French, and American architectural styles amidst its cobblestone streets, boutique hotels, and lively eateries. With every corner turned, you're stepping into another page of Panama's rich history and cultural narrative.

Don't forget - tour itineraries can also operate in reverse. Return to your ship, carrying a newfound appreciation of Panama's astounding beauty and significance. Embrace the fulfilling roles of cultural ambassador, enthusiastic knowledge seeker, and guardian of diversity. Enjoy the scenic drives, absorbing Panama's diverse landscapes, and make the most out of your shore excursion!
