September 3, 2022 - Cape Town, South Africa

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll depart on a guided half-day City of Cape Town tour. Your city tour will include a visit to the front of City Hall, wherefrom the balcony on February 11, 1990, only hours after his release from prison, Nelson Mandela made his first public speech. Also, close by are the Parliament Buildings and Gardens. The tour will end with a cable car to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting). Our afternoon and evening will be at leisure.

September 4, 2022 - Cape Town, South Africa

Today starts with a full-day guided excursion to Cape Point - a world heritage site and a romantic meeting place of the Indian and the Atlantic Oceans. We'll travel through the picturesque Hout Bay, along the breathtaking Chapman's Peak Drive towards a narrow finger of land, covered in endemic fynbos and home to picturesque bays, beaches, rolling green hills and valleys. Later, we'll enjoy a delicious seafood lunch and a visit to Boulders Beach to see the colony of endangered African Penguins that live there.

September 5 - 7, 2022 - Kruger National Park, South Africa

Following breakfast, we'll transfer to the airport. Our flight will take us to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. Established in 1898, Kruger National Park is unrivaled in the diversity of its life forms and is a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques and policies. Truly the flagship of the South African national parks, Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals, including the Big 5 - Lions, African Elephants, Cape Buffalos, Leopards, and Rhinoceros.

In the course of our 3 days here, we'll enjoy 5 safari game drives in search of the Big 5. After dusk, we return to the lodge for dinner around a roaring fire. Other activities on offer in between safaris are nature walks, bike trails and more. Or simply enjoy a siesta in a magnificent setting to the sounds of the bird song with a view of the wild.

Your chef and waiters will be set up and waiting to ensure you are comfortable and enjoying your sundowner as you gather around the crackling flames of the bon fire, sharing stories and later enjoying a real South African Barbaque “braai” dinner under the wonders the vast Milky Way with some of the most beautiful constellations lighting up the brightest skyline.

Bush Braai Dinner - Optional Experience $100 per person

September 8 - 9, 2022 - Victoria Falls, Zambia

We'll start today with an early morning transfer to the airport for our flight to Livingstone, Zambia. Victoria Falls, Zambia, is commonly referred to by the locals as the Mosi-OaTunia—the Smoke that Thunders—which evolved over 500,000 years and today presents a major attraction for millions of visitors, who, as David Livingstone did, have “gazed in awe." The local population believes in the healing powers of the falls, and declares that the shine of the rainbow rids anyone of any illness and even enemies. To witness the mighty Zambezi River plunging down a sheer rock at 550 million liters of water per minute, while silver mist sprays hundreds of meters into the air, is the greatest reward for visiting this magical place.

While staying here, we'll enjoy an afternoon Sundowner Zambezi River Cruise. The sunset cruise on the Zambezi River is a definite must on any trip to Victoria Falls. Relax with a sundowner and snacks as you gaze out onto the banks of the river. The upper flow of the river has various large and small islands covered with lush tropical vegetation, and is home to many predators and birds. We'll also have the opportunity for a walking tour of the falls.

Recommended Excursions During Your Free Time (at a supplementary cost):

ELEPHANT CAFE - ZAMBIA: Three magical experiences in one. We invite you to enjoy a speedboat transfer from Livingstone up the Zambezi River to an exclusive tented restaurant built on a wooden deck, upstream from Victoria Falls. On arrival, you will be greeted by a herd of hand-reared elephants of all ages, and that’s when the magic really begins. During the interaction, guests have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stroke elephants, feed them and pose for photos with these gentle giants. Afterward, you will be invited up onto a beautifully-appointed deck suspended over the Zambezi River to sit back and relax over the delicious “bush gourmet cuisine” unique to The Elephant Café. Duration 4 hours, minimum 1 pax, includes lunch. - $300 per person

TRACK THE WHITE RHINO (Walking Required): Meet one of Africa's "Big Five"—the white rhinoceros on a wilderness walk through the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park just upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls. Sadly, due to poaching, the rhino is highly endangered, especially in Zambia. Your adventure begins with a 4x4 safari through the park to the trackers who have located the Rhinos. After a safety briefing, start off on your walk, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk near, to spend some quality time interacting (at a safe distance) with and photographing the rhino. Professional guides comment on the rhino as well as the wildlife, flora, and spore encountered during the walk. Duration +/- 3 hours, with 2 hours walking, relative fitness required. Minimum 2 pax., no children under 14 years old - $165 per person

HELICOPTER FLIGHT AIR SAFARI - ZAMBIA: The grandeur and the incredible beauty of the mighty Victoria Falls can only be truly appreciated from a bird's-eye view, flying along the edge of the Falls, where the rapid flow of water rushes down over a 100-meter drop. In addition, observe the majestic elephants calmly walking across the green islands, crocodiles and hippos, half-submerged in water and an overall total abundance of beauty. We wish you an incredible flying experience! Duration 12-13 min - $250 per person

KING MUKUNI VILLAGE - ZAMBIA: This excursion will introduce you to the traditional way of living of one of the local tribes (Leya). You will be given a chance to visit the local living quarters, to observe the local people during their work and play and even try their traditional cuisine as well as home-brewed beer. Duration 2 hours, minimum 2 pax - $65 per person

MORNING LIVINGSTONE ISLAND TOUR: Livingstone Island is merely a 5-minute cutter ride along the Zambezi from the Royal Livingstone sun deck on the Zambian side. The island “touches” one of the thresholds of the falls, with water thundering down from a 100m height. Doctor David Livingstone discovered this divine mighty Fall for the very first time precisely from this point and named it in honor of his queen. The island is accessible only by a small (16-seater) boat. Please note! Please bring your swimsuit! Minimum 2 pax - $220 per person

AVANI VICTORIA FALLS RESORT – 2 nights

September 10 - 12, 2022 - Chobe National Park, Botswana

After breakfast at the lodge, we'll depart for Botswana. The next 3 days are actioned packed, with 6 Safari activities (land and water-based) as well as a cultural tour in a local village of neighboring Namibia. Chobe National Park has great diversity and concentration of wildlife and is home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa.

CHOBE WATER VILLAS – 3-night package

September 13, 2022 - Departure Day

We'll start our final day bright and early with a morning safari to say goodbye to the heart of the African bush. After breakfast, we'll transfer to the airport for our flight to Johannesburg. From there we'll continue on to our flight home, leaving Africa with all of the wonderful memories from our trip.
