December 8: Arlington - White House
After breakfast, visit America’s shrine to valor and sacrifice, Arlington National Cemetery. Board the tourmobile tram to see John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy gravesites plus the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Then, stop at the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue). This afternoon, embark on a D.C. City Tour with a stop at the White House Visitor’s Center to learn about our Executive Mansion and the Presidential families that lived there, and view the film White House: Reflections from Within. Then see four impressive Memorials: Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, M.L.K. Jr., and National WWII. Next visit the magical Downtown D.C. Christmas Market, a holiday experience featuring a rotating cast of crafters and vendors, hot coffee, sweets and holiday performances.

December 9: Smithsonian - D.C. Lights
This morning enjoy time to visit your choice of the world-famous Smithsonian Institution Museums such as the Air & Space, Natural History, American History, or Gallery of Art. This afternoon, visit the National Portrait Gallery, whose collections focus on images of famous Americans. Enjoy an included dinner this evening. Later, depart on a Night Illumination Monuments Tour. Drive by buildings beautifully decorated for the holidays and monuments especially impressive at night. Stop and see the National Christmas Tree, DC’s holiday claim to fame.

December 10: Ford's Theater - Annapolis
Today visit Ford’s Theater, restored as it was the night John Wilkes Booth shot President Lincoln, and still an active theater. Also visit the NEW Center for Education & Leadership with exhibits regarding President Lincoln. Travel to Annapolis for lunch on your own and time to shop in historic Annapolis Harbor. Later embark on an Annapolis City Tour featuring the U.S. Naval Academy. The evening is free to explore our Nation’s capital and the area around your resort.

December 11: Capitol Hill - Mt. Vernon
Arrive at Capitol Hill to visit the Capitol Visitor’s Center, highlighting the US lawmaking process. Then, visit the US Library of Congress and view the exterior of the Supreme Court Building. Drive to Alexandria, VA to visit Mt. Vernon, the estate of George Washington. Tour the house and grounds and visit Washington’s Tomb. Tonight’s Farewell Dinner is included at a popular local restaurant.
