I was born in Cali, Colombia, and my family emigrated to the U.S. when I was a teenager. We lived in New Jersey for many years, and I relocated to Florida with my husband and children in 1991. I much prefer a warmer climate, and New Jersey was much too cold for me.

Best Travel Experience: Sydney, Australia and Auckland,New Zealand. We visited all of the must-see sites in Sydney, including the Opera House. We enjoyed a dinner cruise in the Sydney Harbor. I spent quality time with kangaroos, and the unique experience of holding a koala. Everything about the trip was amazing and I made fond memories that will last forever.

Want to Travel to Next: Greece and Venice are scheduled in the coming months. I am very much looking forward to visiting these two destinations that I have not experienced previously.

Unique Travel Story: While vacationing in Hawaii, we took a day-long snorkeling trip to Molikini, a volcano crater off the island of Maui. The boat was followed by a large number of dolphins to the snorkeling site. It was a beautiful, unique experience. The crew members were equally excited and joined us in the water because it was a first for them. They had never seen it occur previously.

Travel Expert At: I am super familiar with Cancun, Mexico. I have visited on numerous occasions, and well-versed regarding the area and excursions. I am also a cruise veteran. I have traveled on 30+ cruises, and I have seen almost all of the Caribbean destinations, and experienced several different cruise lines.

What do you look for in traveling? When I travel, it is almost exclusively about the historical sites and destinations. It is great to enjoy some relaxation on a cruise, but for me it is the excitement of visiting the ports and experiences that come with the excursions.

Best trip you’ve planned for a client? I have planned every trip that included my family and friends. We took a family trip for 22 days to Hawaii, which included 8 days on the island of Oahu, 7 days on the Big Island-Hawaii, and 7 days on Maui. I have planned numerous group trips to Europe covering multiple countries.

Favorite place to get food? I have been very fortunate to have experienced a multitude of memorable dining experiences while traveling. Recently we enjoyed amazing Paella in Barcelona, Spain on the Mediterranean. We have enjoyed a Luau in Hawaii, and fond memories of warm baguettes and croissants while strolling the Champs Elysees in Paris.

Favorite souvenir from a trip? Typically the only souvenir that I take is a great many photos. A boomerang from Australia is probably my favorite souvenir piece.
