We’re heading out on a festive journey through the South’s most enchanting cities — Charleston, Asheville, and Savannah — each beautifully decorated and brimming with holiday charm! Departing from DeLand, FL, aboard a luxury motorcoach, we’ll travel in comfort and ease, enjoying scenic views and cheerful company along the way. This adventure is thoughtfully designed to capture the magic of the holidays, featuring unforgettable experiences, dazzling lights, heartwarming entertainment, and plenty of seasonal surprises.
Our first destination is the historic city of Charleston, South Carolina, where we’ll stay in a charming boutique property in the heart of downtown. We’ll take in the city’s rich history through a guided tour featuring cobblestone streets, antebellum architecture, and scenic harbor views. There will be time to browse the waterfront shops, soak in the festive atmosphere, and enjoy a magical evening at the James Island Festival of Lights, where millions of twinkling lights create a dazzling holiday spectacle. We’ll also experience the elegance of Christmas on the Battery and enjoy the festive Charleston Christmas Special — a holiday performance that’s sure to delight.
Upon arriving in Asheville, North Carolina, we’ll be greeted by the charm of this vibrant mountain town, known for its rich history, artsy vibe, and scenic beauty. We’ll explore Asheville’s historic downtown, where charming architecture, festive storefronts, and the spirit of the season come together. Then, we’ll head to the iconic Biltmore Estate, a stunning French Renaissance château built by George Vanderbilt in 1895. Set on 8,000 acres, the estate dazzles during the holidays with elaborate decorations, glowing lights, and fragrant greenery throughout its grand halls. We’ll explore the Conservatory, stroll through the Arboretum and formal gardens, and enjoy a wine tasting at the Biltmore Winery in Antler Hill Village. The evening culminates in a Candlelight Christmas tour of the Biltmore House, followed by a festive dinner on the estate — a holiday memory we’ll treasure.
We’ll conclude our holiday adventure in Savannah, Georgia, where we’ll enjoy a festive walking tour, a heartwarming Christmas performance, and a memorable dinner at one of the city’s celebrated restaurants, where classic Southern flavors and elegant ambiance come together to create an unforgettable holiday meal.

Day 1 – December 2, 2026: DeLand to Charleston, SC
Our holiday journey begins as we depart DeLand aboard a luxury motorcoach, heading toward the festive charm of Charleston, South Carolina. After a comfortable ride with brief rest stops along the way, we’ll arrive in the heart of Charleston by late afternoon and check into a charming boutique hotel nestled downtown — the perfect place to unwind and soak in the city’s holiday spirit. That evening, we’ll gather for a welcoming group dinner at Hyman’s Seafood, a beloved Charleston institution known for its Southern hospitality and coastal flavors. (S,D)
Day 2 – December 3, 2026: Exploring Charleston’s Holiday Charm
After a delicious breakfast at our downtown hotel, we’ll step into the heart of historic Charleston for a morning of discovery. We’ll explore the city’s cobblestone streets, grand antebellum homes, and hidden treasures — all dressed in their holiday best. This immersive experience brings Charleston’s rich history and Southern charm to life. We’ll end our tour in a lively district perfect for lunch and shopping, with time to browse local boutiques or relax at a cozy café.
After freshening up at the hotel and enjoying a relaxing dinner, we’ll board our motorcoach for a dazzling ride through a wonderland of over two million lights. The James Island Festival of Lights is one of the Southeast’s most beloved holiday traditions. From whimsical displays to glowing tunnels, this enchanting experience is the perfect way to wrap up our festive day in Charleston. (B)
Day 3 – December 4, 2026: Savoring Charleston’s Holiday Flavors and Festivities
After breakfast at our charming downtown hotel, the morning is yours to enjoy as you wish—you might choose to relax, explore more of Charleston’s historic streets, visit a local museum, or maybe take part in an optional guided experience, such as a scenic carriage ride or a tour of historic homes. Soak in the holiday ambiance and discover the city at your own pace.
In the afternoon, we’ll come together for a custom food tour, sampling Charleston’s most beloved flavors and learning about its rich culinary traditions — a delicious way to experience the city’s culture. As evening falls, we’ll step into the elegance of Christmas on the Battery, a beautifully curated tour of historic homes adorned in holiday splendor. Then, we’ll wrap up the night with a festive performance at one of Charleston’s iconic theaters, such as the Charleston Christmas Special or a classic holiday show at the Dock Street Theatre — a perfect blend of music, storytelling, and seasonal cheer. Day 4 – December 5, 2026: From Charleston to the Mountains of Asheville
After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Charleston and journey north to the charming mountain town of Asheville, North Carolina. Enjoy a scenic ride aboard our luxury motorcoach with brief stops along the way before arriving mid-afternoon. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our cozy hotel and get ready to explore the heart of Asheville.
We’ll begin with a guided tour of Asheville’s historic downtown, where art deco architecture, mountain charm, and holiday spirit come together. Afterward, enjoy free time to browse the Grove Arcade, a beautifully restored marketplace filled with local shops and seasonal décor. This evening, enjoy a festive and local dinner at one of Asheville’s favorite spots. (B, D)
Day 5 – December 6, 2026: A Magical Day at Biltmore Estate
After breakfast, we’ll make our way to the gates of the Biltmore Estate, where a full day of holiday wonder awaits. Built by George Vanderbilt in 1895, this 250-room French Renaissance château is the largest privately owned home in America and a true architectural masterpiece.
We’ll begin with a visit to the Conservatory and winter gardens, where vibrant seasonal blooms and exotic plants offer a colorful contrast to the crisp mountain air. Then, enjoy free time to explore Antler Hill Village, browse the shops, visit the estate winery, and enjoy lunch on your own at one of the charming cafés or eateries on the property. You’ll also have access to a special exhibit at Amherst, offering deeper insight into the Vanderbilt legacy and the estate’s rich history.
As evening approaches, we’ll gather for a festive dinner at the Stables Café, located right on the estate. After dinner, we’ll enjoy a Candlelight Christmas Tour of the Biltmore House, where glowing fireplaces, twinkling lights, and live holiday music bring the grand estate to life in the most magical way. Day 6 – December 7, 2026: Savannah’s Southern Holiday Charm
After breakfast and check-out, we’ll board our motorcoach and begin our journey to Savannah, Georgia, a city known for its moss-draped oaks, cobblestone streets, and timeless Southern elegance. We’ll arrive early afternoon and check into our hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of Savannah’s historic district.
Once settled, we’ll experience a holiday-themed city tour, taking in the festive sights and rich history of this beautifully preserved destination. From the twinkling lights lining the squares to the grand historic homes dressed in seasonal décor, Savannah offers a magical blend of Southern charm and holiday spirit. This evening, we’ll gather for a historic dining experience at one of the city’s celebrated restaurants, where classic Southern flavors and elegant ambiance come together to create a memorable holiday meal. Day 7 – December 8, 2026: Farewell to the Festivities
After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey home, filled with the joy and memories of a truly magical holiday adventure. Along the way, we’ll make a scenic stop at St. Simons Island, where we’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch and one last taste of coastal charm. From there, we’ll continue our comfortable ride back to DeLand, arriving in the afternoon.
As we return home, we’ll carry with us the warmth of Southern hospitality, the sparkle of holiday lights, and the unforgettable experiences shared with new friends. (B)
